Refund Policy
When a TickPDF payment can be refunded, and how to ask. Every tool can be tried on the free plan before you pay, so please try the tools you need first.
Last updated: October 12, 2026
The short version
- Try before you buy: every tool works on the free plan, so you can check it does what you need before paying.
- Payments are not refunded if you change your mind, on any plan.
- We do refund when a paid feature does not work as described and we cannot fix it, and when you were charged by mistake.
- Cancelling stops future payments. You keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for.
- Your rights under the consumer law of your country always apply.
1. Who handles payments
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, so the charge on your statement comes from Paddle, and any refund is sent by Paddle.
Codes bought from a partner, such as a lifetime deal website (for example AppSumo), are paid to that partner. Refunds for them follow the partner’s own refund policy and are asked for from the partner, not from us. When a partner refunds a purchase, we cancel the code and the plan it gave ends.
For a question about a payment, email us at contact@tickpdf.com, or contact Paddle using the link in your receipt email or at paddle.net.
2. Try before you buy
Every tool on TickPDF works on the free plan, without an account and without a watermark. Pro features, such as stamps and links, can also be used in the editor for free: you only need a plan to download the result. The free plan has limits on downloads and file size, but it lets you check that a tool works on your own documents before you pay.
Because of this, we do not refund a payment because you changed your mind, no longer need the plan, forgot to use it, or bought the wrong plan. This applies to the 7-day pass and to monthly and yearly plans.
3. When we do refund
We refund a payment in full in these cases:
| Situation | What we do | Tell us within |
|---|---|---|
| A paid feature does not work as described | We try to fix it first. If we cannot fix it, or find you a working way to do the same job, we refund the payment | 14 days of the payment (7-day pass: during the 7 days) |
| You were charged twice for the same plan | We refund the extra payment | 60 days |
| You were charged after you had cancelled | We refund that payment | 60 days |
| The law where you live gives you a right to a refund | We follow the law | As the law sets out |
A tool that works but does not suit your document, for example a scan that is too blurred for OCR, is not a fault. The free plan is the place to check that first.
4. What is not refunded
- a change of mind, on any plan;
- monthly or yearly renewals you did not cancel in time. Your receipt shows the renewal date, and you can cancel at any time before it;
- the unused part of a month or year after you cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of the period instead;
- a plan ended because you seriously broke our Terms of Use, for example by sharing one account between many people;
- a member of a team plan losing access because the owner removed them, or because the owner’s plan ended. Refunds go to the owner who paid.
We may still make an exception in a case that seems unfair to us. Making one exception does not mean we will make the same one again.
5. How to ask for a refund
Email us at contact@tickpdf.com from the address you used to pay, with:
- the order number from your Paddle receipt (it starts with "txn_"), or the date and amount of the payment;
- which plan it was;
- for a tool that did not work: its name, what you did, and what went wrong. A screenshot helps. Please do not send us your documents.
We reply within two working days. Once a refund is approved, Paddle sends it to the card or account you paid with. Most banks show it within 5 to 10 working days, but the exact time depends on your bank.
6. What happens after a refund
The refunded plan ends straight away and your account goes back to the free plan. You can keep using every tool within the free limits, and anything you have already downloaded is yours to keep. If a monthly or yearly plan is refunded, the subscription is also cancelled, so you will not be charged again.
7. Cancelling
You can cancel a monthly or yearly plan at any time, from the link in your receipt email, at paddle.net, or by emailing us. The next payment is then stopped, and you keep the plan until the end of the period you have paid for. There is no fee. The 7-day pass is paid once and never renews, so there is nothing to cancel.
8. If we change or close the service
If we remove a main feature of a paid plan, or close the service, we will tell you by email first. For monthly and yearly plans and the 7-day pass, we refund the unused part of the period you have paid for.
A lifetime plan, including one from a partner code, lasts for as long as we run the service. If we ever close it, we will tell you at least 60 days before, as set out in our Terms of Use.
9. Card disputes
If something is wrong with a payment, please contact us before you dispute it with your bank. We can usually sort it out faster, and a dispute can take weeks. If a payment is disputed, the plan it paid for ends while the dispute is open.
10. Your rights under the law
This policy does not take away any right you have under the consumer law of your country. For example, consumers in the EU and the UK have a 14-day right to cancel many online purchases. For digital services that start straight away, that right can end once you start using the service, as the law allows. Where your right still applies, we and Paddle will honour it.
If a paid feature does not work as described, the law in many countries, including the EU, the UK, Australia and India, may also give you a right to a repair or a refund.
As the Merchant of Record, Paddle may also decide to refund a payment under its own buyer terms.
