Terms of Use
The rules for using TickPDF. Please read them before you use the tools or buy a plan. They are written to be clear, not clever.
Last updated: October 12, 2026
The short version
- TickPDF is run by Viswanadham Suresh, an individual.
- Your documents are opened and changed in your own browser. We never receive them.
- You keep every right to your documents, and you are responsible for what you do with them.
- Paid plans renew until you cancel, and you can cancel at any time.
- Codes bought from a partner, such as a lifetime deal site, are paid and refunded through that partner.
- Unlimited means normal use by the people on your plan, not automated bulk processing or reselling.
- If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with consumer laws, those laws still protect you.
1. Who we are
TickPDF ("the service", "we", "us") is operated by Viswanadham Suresh, an individual, from India. You can contact us at contact@tickpdf.com.
By using the service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use it. If you use TickPDF for a company or other organisation, you agree on its behalf and confirm you are allowed to.
2. What the service does
TickPDF is a set of PDF tools that run in your web browser: editing, signing, filling in, converting, merging, splitting, OCR and more. The tools are delivered as web pages and program code from our website, and they run on your own device.
Your files are not uploaded. When you open a document, it is read and changed by your browser. The result is made on your device and saved where you choose. We do not receive, store or have access to the documents you open or the files you make.
3. Using the service
You may use the service for personal and business purposes. You agree that you will not:
- use it to break any law, or to infringe anyone else’s rights, such as copyright or privacy;
- use it to forge signatures, falsify documents or deceive anyone;
- try to get around the limits of the free plan, for example with scripts or by changing the code that runs in your browser;
- overload, attack or try to break into our website or servers, or collect data from it with automated tools;
- resell, rent or offer the service to others as your own, or copy its design and text to make a competing service.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the service, and old enough to make a binding contract where you live (usually 18) to buy a paid plan.
4. Your documents and results
You keep all rights to your documents. Because they never reach us, we claim no rights to them and cannot recover them for you. Keep your own copies of anything important.
Some tools work automatically, such as OCR, compare, redact, repair, compress and automatic cropping. They are very useful, but they can make mistakes. Always check the result before you rely on it or share it, especially a redacted file, a signed agreement or a document for an official body.
Electronic signatures made with the service are images or drawings placed on the page. Whether a signature is legally valid depends on the document, the people involved and the law where you are. If in doubt, ask the person who will receive the document, or a lawyer.
5. The free plan
The free plan lets you use the tools within some limits, currently 3 downloads a day, files up to 20 MB and documents up to 50 pages. We may change the free plan, its limits and the tools it includes at any time. Downloads from the free plan never carry a watermark.
6. Paid plans
Paid plans, such as TickPDF Pro, remove the limits and unlock more features. The plans, their features and their prices are shown on the pricing page.
Payments. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders, and it provides all customer service enquiries and handles returns. Its own terms of sale also apply. We never see or store your card details. Prices include or add sales tax, GST and VAT as shown at checkout.
Ways to pay. You can buy a 7-day pass, or a monthly or yearly plan. Monthly and yearly plans are paid in advance and renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel; the renewal date is on your receipt. The 7-day pass is paid once, never renews and ends by itself 7 days after you buy it.
Codes from our partners. We sometimes sell plans through partners, such as lifetime deal websites (for example AppSumo). If you bought a code from a partner, your purchase, payment and any refund are handled by that partner under its own terms, not by Paddle or by us. A code can be redeemed once, on one account. When a partner tells us a purchase was refunded or cancelled, we cancel its code and the plan it gave ends. Codes from the same deal can be stacked to move up a tier, as described in the deal.
Plans that last for life. A lifetime plan, including one from a partner code, gives the features of that plan for as long as we run the service, including the new tools we add to that plan. It belongs to the account that redeemed it and cannot be sold or transferred. If we ever close the service, we will tell you by email at least 60 days before, so you can save anything you need.
Cancelling. You can cancel a monthly or yearly plan at any time from the link in your receipt or by emailing us. Your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have paid for and does not renew.
Refunds. Every tool can be tried on the free plan before you pay, so payments are not refunded if you change your mind. We refund a payment if a paid feature does not work as described and we cannot fix it, if you were charged by mistake, or where the law where you live requires it. The full details are in our Refund Policy.
Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. We will tell you by email at least 30 days before a new price applies to you, so you can cancel first if you wish.
7. Your account
A paid plan comes with an account. Keep your password safe and do not share your account with other people. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used it. You are responsible for what is done with your account.
8. Team plans
Some plans cover more than one person, such as the Business plan or a lifetime deal tier for several people. The number of people is shown on the pricing page or in the deal. The owner of the plan invites each person by email from the account page. Every person signs in with their own account; one account must not be shared between several people.
Members use the owner’s plan while the owner has it. The owner can remove a member at any time, and a member can leave at any time; their own account and anything they downloaded stay theirs. If the owner’s plan ends, the members go back to the free plan. The owner is responsible for inviting only people they are allowed to share the plan with, such as colleagues or family.
9. Fair use
“Unlimited” on our plans means unlimited for normal use by the people on the plan: as many documents, downloads and tools as you need for your own work. Because the tools run on your own device, normal use costs us very little, and we want you to use them freely.
Unlimited does not cover: running the service automatically with scripts or bots; processing documents as a service for other people or companies who are not on your plan; sharing one account, or reselling access; or any use that puts an unreasonable load on our website or servers.
If we think an account goes beyond fair use, we will contact you first and try to agree a solution, such as a plan for more people. Only if that fails, or in a serious case such as an attack on our servers, may we limit or end the account, as set out in section 15.
10. Features that use online services
Today every tool runs on your device. In the future we may add optional features that cannot run on your device alone, for example artificial intelligence (AI) features such as summaries, translation or chatting with a document, or features that store or send files, such as e-signature requests or cloud storage.
Such features cost us money every time they are used, so they may come with a monthly allowance, a fair-use limit or a separate price, on every plan including lifetime plans. We will show the allowance or price clearly before you use the feature.
These features will always be optional and clearly marked. A document is sent to us or to a service provider only when you choose to use such a feature on it, and we will explain where it goes and how long it is kept before you do. The tools you use today will keep running on your device.
11. Our software and content
The website, the TickPDF name and logo, the design, the text and the program code are owned by us or by the people who license them to us. These terms give you a personal right to use the service. They do not give you any other rights to it.
The service is built with open-source software, including pdf.js, pdf-lib, Fabric.js, Tesseract and qpdf. Each is used under its own licence, and nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licences.
12. Changes to the service
We are always improving the service, so tools and features may be added, changed or removed. If we stop the service, or remove a main feature of a paid plan, we will give you notice and refund the unused part of any monthly, yearly or 7-day period you have paid for. Lifetime plans are covered by section 6.
13. Our responsibility to you
We work hard to keep the service reliable and accurate, and we fix problems as soon as we can. But it is software, and we cannot promise that it will always be available, free of errors, or that every result will be exactly right for your purpose. To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights you have by law. For example, in the EU and the UK, digital content and services must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality.
14. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for loss of business, profit or data, or for losses caused by a document you did not check. Our total liability to you for anything related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 50 US dollars, whichever is more.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
15. Ending these terms
You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If we end a paid plan for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of India, and its courts can decide disputes about them.
If you are a consumer and live in another country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you can bring a claim in the courts where you live.
Most problems can be solved quickly by email, so please contact us first. We will do our best to help.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we add a feature or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects a paid plan in a significant way, we will tell you by email before it applies, and you can cancel if you do not agree.
18. Contact
