About TickPDF
A free PDF editor and more than 100 PDF tools that work inside your browser. Your documents are never uploaded: they stay on your own device, from the moment you open them to the moment you save.
PDF Tools Should Not Need Your Files
Most online PDF tools ask you to upload your document to their servers. That means your contracts, bank statements, ID scans and medical letters travel across the internet and sit on someone else’s computer, even if only for a while.
We think that is unnecessary. Today’s browsers can read, change and save PDF files on their own. So TickPDF sends the tools to your device, instead of sending your files to us.
The result is a PDF editor that is private by design, fast because nothing has to upload or download, and free to start, with no watermark on what you make.
- 0files uploadedYour documents stay on your device.
- 100+PDF toolsEdit, sign, convert, merge, OCR and more.
- 0watermarksFree downloads look exactly like paid ones.
Your Files Never Leave Your Device
Three steps, all of them on your own phone or computer.
- 1You open a fileChoose a PDF, a photo or a document. It is read by your browser, on your device.
- 2The tool does its work on your deviceEditing, signing, merging, compressing, OCR and converting all happen on your phone or computer.
- 3You save the resultThe new file is made on your device and saved where you choose. Nothing is kept anywhere else.
Don’t take our word for it: click the green “0 files uploaded” badge in any tool to see every message the page sends, or turn off your internet once a tool has loaded. It keeps working.
The Promises Behind Every Tool
Private by design
Your files are opened and changed in your own browser. They are never uploaded, so they cannot leak from our servers, because they are never on them.
Free to start, no watermark
Every tool is in the free plan. Free downloads look exactly like paid ones, with no logo stamped on your work.
Honest pricing
Simple plans, a 7-day pass for one-off jobs, no hidden fees and no tricks to make cancelling hard.
Works where you are
On Windows, Mac, Chromebook, iPhone and Android, in any modern browser. Nothing to install.
Plain and friendly
Clear words instead of jargon, big buttons, and tools that tell you what they are doing.
A real person
Every email is read and answered by the person who builds the tools, usually within one working day.
Small, Independent and Easy to Reach
TickPDF is built and run by Viswanadham Suresh, an independent developer in India. It is not owned by a big company or paid for by advertising. It is paid for by the people who choose a paid plan, and that keeps our focus on making the tools better.
Requests from the people who use TickPDF decide what we build next. If there is something you wish a PDF tool could do, we would love to hear about it.

What we are working on
Saved workflows for jobs you repeat, an app you can install for offline use, recent files that stay on your device, and more tools suggested by the people who use them.
Who runs TickPDF?
TickPDF is built and run by Viswanadham Suresh, an independent developer in India. There is no big company behind it: the person who writes the code also reads and answers every email.
Is it really free?
Yes. Every tool works on the free plan, with no account, no watermark and no trial that runs out. The free plan has a daily download limit and a file size limit. A paid plan removes the limits and unlocks a few advanced features, such as stamps, links and new form fields.
How do you make money?
From paid plans, and nothing else. We do not sell data, we do not show ads in the tools, and because your files never reach us, there is nothing of yours we could sell.
How can you edit PDFs without uploading them?
Modern browsers are powerful enough to read, change and save PDF files on their own. When you open a tool, the program code comes to your device, and the work happens there. Your file is never sent anywhere. You can see it for yourself: every tool has a privacy panel that lists every message the page sends.
Can I check that my files are not uploaded?
Yes, in three ways. Click the green “0 files uploaded” badge in any tool to see every message the page has sent. Open your browser’s developer tools (F12) and watch the Network tab while you work. Or turn off your internet once a tool has loaded: it keeps working.
What is it built with?
The tools stand on excellent open-source projects, including pdf.js (Mozilla), pdf-lib, Fabric.js, Tesseract (for OCR) and qpdf. We are grateful to the people who make them.
Can businesses and schools use it?
Yes. TickPDF Pro works for one person, and the Business plan covers a team under one bill, with each person signing in with their own account. Email contact@tickpdf.com if you need more people.
